Your engagement session is the perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other better. We hang out for 1-1.5 hours doing something fun; it’s sort of like a date- except there are 3 of us… and one of us has a camera. It’s also great practice for the wedding day- since most of our clients aren’t professional models, we have found that they particularly like this relaxed setting to experience being in front of the camera. And of course, you also get awesome photos of the two of you in non-wedding attire!
While we are happy to work with you in any location of your choice, we have found that engagement sessions are the most fun and generally have the best results, when you select a spot that has meaning to you, or do an activity that you enjoy together.
Here are some ideas for locations that might be fitting:
where you met
where you got engaged
the bar where you get a drink each thursday
the restaurant of your first date
the theater where you saw your favorite band together
a snowy spot
your living room, backyard, kitchen, dinner table
Here are some ideas for activities that would be fun photographically:
sailing
playing board games
cycling
walking the dogs (yes, pets are always welcome)
cooking your favorite meal in your apartment
picking apples, blueberries, pumpkins, etc
jumping in puddles
playing pool
painting your house
