Weddings are a gift; they enable people to celebrate a new chapter in a story of love. And for both S and S, their second wedding brought together a force of love that far surpassed the power of unpleasant weather conditions. Their love for each other was as much focused on family as it was on them as a couple.
Choosing The Gardens at Elm Bank for their special day was no accident, as its significance originated several years ago as a scenic dog walking route for S and her kids. Fast forward, S then proposed to her at the Gardens close to a decade into their love story, and of course their kids were included inthe surprise. S and S’s kids grew up alongside their future step-siblings for the majority of their lives, sharing in their parents’ journey through new love. On the day of this intimate, family and friends-only wedding, the children were given recognition in the form of an opening toast and individual dances with their newlywed mom or dad. Scott and his daughter also performed an awesome choreographed father-daughter dance, making the whole day truly feel like a celebration of the importance of family.
The rain also played a key role in highlighting the delight of this day; no one in the wedding party nor any guests showed the slightest negativity toward the unexpected shower on this outdoor garden wedding. The bride and groom still decided to have their first look among the flowers, just under umbrellas. The location was significant, the closeness palpable, and the rain representative of the growth of a new family, watered by a mom and dad’s promise to each other and their children.
Congratulations to S+S and thank you to their wedding professionals for making this day so amazing!
