The Harvard Club in dowtown Boston is a wonderful mix of old world elegance (deep rich woods and leathers) with a touch of modern (vibrant fabrics and large windows encompassing fabulous city views). Two of our friends are getting married there late summer/early fall and I think they have picked a great location.
When you first step off the elevator, you are greeted to a warm and welcoming lobby.
Just a few steps to your right, you get this stunning view of Boston. Actually you get a great view of the city from every room. This is the side where you would most likely have your ceremony and your cocktail hour. What a treat for your guests.
A cozy spot for you and your guests to relax and enjoy the view.
This fantastic mural must be at least 20 feet long and 8 feet high- it encompasses a whole wall in the bride’s getting ready room. It’s a beautiful sunny space with this view into the past on one wall and a row of windows with a view of the present on the other. A nice juxtaposition.
The architectural and artistic details throughout have a very elegant and classic feel.
Of course, this being the Harvard Club, there are a few special Harvard only touches.
The wedding coordinator Tania is really fabulous; she will take care of everything for a bride and groom. She has loads of experience in the hospitality industry and she loves weddings. Another great mix!
But really, the part that had me at "hello" was the view. I mean really. What a beautiful backdrop!
