A few weeks back, Dave and I met up with Leigh Ann at the Museum of Science for a tour of their unique and memorable event spaces. I have been to the Museum a few times; the last was a visit in the late 90’s with college friends. I remember us all laughing and frollicking endlessly up and down the musical stairs. I have tons of fond memories of this museum, all of them include smiling, excitement, and energy. Those are the same ideas that come to mind when I think of a celebration. It seems a perfect spot for the young at heart to celebrate their wedding. Or for those who have a passion for science. Or who simply want something that is truly one of a kind.

Before we had even set foot in the museum, we were welcomed (from the garage) with the amazing view below. The museum sits overlooking the Charles River and has views of both Boston and Cambridge. The Duck Boats go right by here… another fun idea.

For those hosting an event at the museum, there are several options to choose from. All of the options include admission passes for your guests and parking for the event. An amazing value and a special treat for those visiting from out of town!

If you want to enjoy the view or for a more romantic feel, the outdoor pavillion and tent seem a perfect option.

If you want to be right in the thick of it, definitely consider the museum proper. The main exhibit halls would be perfect for those who want to play during their event. I can’t imagine a more perfect spot for a bar or bat mitzvah or a special birthday party. But I think even for a wedding, the space would entertain and engage you and your guests. Of course, the photos would be amazing.

Dave and I couldn’t resist enjoying this opportunity to visit the exhibits. Dave seemed most interested in the air and space.

I was more intrigued by the optical illusions. So we took a few self-portraits at the "kaleidoscope" and in the cool mirrors.

Back to your wedding for a moment. Leigh Ann is committed to working with couples to make their event creative and special. One couple wanted to get married in the Electricity Theater. The Museum made it happen.

After they said their vows, they stepped into the metal cage and received the thrill of their lives. They were hit by lightning. How cool is that!
