P&R wed on a lovely summer day in Connecticut. Location was important but having time to really enjoy their friends and family was even more so. They rented a house on Air BnB just for that purpose. This turned out to be just the spot for P to get ready with her bridesmaids. P wanted to make this day a little extra special for her bridesmaids, gifting them each with a unique pink and purple silk robe to wear while getting ready for her big day!
P & R took a simple first look and went above and beyond that, by taking their photos on The Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge. With 62 flower boxes and 32 hanging baskets lining the bridge, the site offered a beautiful backdrop for P & R’s wedding photos.
After photos on the bridge, they journeyed a short distance to their wedding venue. The Riverview said it best when describing their venue, “A mediterranean style function hall with an elegant, classic and sophisticated design providing a perfect ambience for any special occasion”. P & R’s wedding was exactly that and more. Taking advantage of such an architecturally stunning venue, the head table for just the bride and groom was placed perfectly between two grand columns that were separated by arching windows. They truly were the king and queen of this night.
The high arched ceilings and grand crystal chandeliers were just a few of the magnificent features of this venue hall. To accent the crystal chandeliers, P & R made a statement with their center pieces, using a tall clear glass stand to hold atop a jaw dropping arrangement of pink, white, and red flowers. Just enough to emphasize the gold tones throughout the venue itself.
Personalizing their wedding even further, P & R placed a beautifully decorated cake pop at every guest’s seat – cute and yummy! An added touch of hospitality, they ensured their guests did not go thirsty…by setting a bottle of wine at every table. Or maybe they wanted everyone to have a little liquid courage so they would get on the dance floor! Whatever the reason, it worked.
