Just thought we should kick off this rainy holiday weekend with a refreshing celebration from this past summer. Part deux of Soo Jin and Roger’s perfect Sonoma wedding at Viansa Winery.
Our last post was all about the beauty leading up to and through their wine cave ceremony. And now we share sunset portraits and one fabulously good party.
First up the bridal party, with signature white parasols, courtesy of Viansa.
And then some alone time enjoying the magnificent valley scenery as the sun was beginning to set. Warm light made their skin glow. Well, that, and the happy day.

So many beautiful spots to shoot. We honestly could have photographed here all day.
But we had a party to attend. And the guests were waiting.
Grand entrance through the bridesmaid and groomsmen gauntlet. Love that the girls took the guys sunglasses and handed off their bouqets to the gents.
Yup.
First dance.
Finished off with a dip.
Kiss, please!
Fooling around in the photo booth.
Check out this super fun ring shot. They had the letters on their dessert bar table. Picked up the little chairs which were holding the escort cards, and then placed the rings on each chair. Love the connection to their day.
All around good times and simply stunning wedding. Congrats to Soo Jin and Roger and thanks to all those who made it a spectucular wedding!

Deana and Nick had a fabulous wine country wedding at the beginning of fall. She did an amazing job with the feel of the day. Deana incorporated all sorts of special touches to highlight the time of year and the location, the gardens and wine cave at Hans Fahden Vineyards.

I am sorry. I have to apologize. Sometimes we just can’t help ourselves and this is one of those times.
Cara and Nate’s wedding was simply so amazing. This is one super glamorous couple. They held their wedding at two beautiful sites (The Sonoma Mission Inn and Sonoma Golf Club). They worked with Emarie of A Savvy Event on their wedding design. Everything and everyone around them was gorgeous. Best of all, they are truly warm and loving and so very much in love.
You are about to be bombarded with images. Again, I apologize. Now, sit back and enjoy!

Our most recent wine country wedding was stunning in every way- truly picture perfect.
We had been looking forward to Cara and Nate’s wedding for a while. Cara came to us as a referral from Emily and Mark. We always love referrals because it feels like we are working with people we already know really well, almost like family. And then we shot Cara and Nate’s engagement session which was so much fun. Not only were they gorgeous, they were super hardy, braving San Francisco’s worst weather. And they just seemed so right together, amazing chemistry. On top of all that, we were really excited to work at the Sonoma Mission Inn and the Sonoma Golf Club- two of the valley’s most amazing sites.

Based on all the comments here on our blog, I know how excited and anxious Angela and Michael’s friends and family are to see all their wedding photos. I’ve had a really tough time narrowing them for this entry but here they are.
I have so many favorites from the day…but I really like the movement and feeling of this one. Angela and her dad are really good dancers and they put on quite the show and I think this image captures that.

I have known Angela for a couple of years after photographing her friend’s wedding. So I was really excited to see her and Michael tie the knot. Angela one of the sweetest, easy going and most organized brides that we have ever had. Angela is from the Bay Area and Michael from the Midwest so they chose to have a destination wedding in Sonoma Valley. The Lodge at Sonoma was the ideal choice for their wine county inspired outdoor wedding. Having shot at the Lodge before, we knew how lovely it was and together with Angela’s creative touches, they created a beautifully designed wedding. After the morning ceremony and afternoon reception, everyone was treated to a wine tour at Ledson Winery and Chateau St. Jean. Here a few sneak peaks from the day.
