Dara got ready in the bridal suite at the Log Cabin in western Mass. She was surrounded by her dearest friends and closest family members. Two of her bridesmaids helped her tie the corsette laces of her wedding dress.

Meanwhile the boys were all set so they took some time to enjoy the stunning mountain views.

Just before Dara walked down the aisle, the flower girl and ringbearer prepared to lead the way.

Keith was terrified that he was going to cry during the ceremony. Apparently he is known for this, having cried during his brother’s wedding. He was trying desparately to keep it together in preparation for Dara to walk down the aisle.

Check out this amazing, stunning, spectacular, gorgeous, out of this world mountain view. And the temperature was perfect. An idyllic scene, no?

The gentle breeze caught Dara’s veil and the light made it glow during their vows. So pretty.

I absolutely love this image of Dara’s mom and dad during the ceremony. You can feel the love they have for each other and for Dara and Keith just by looking at their faces and body language.

Just as Dara and Keith started their departure after their kiss and being pronounced man and wife, their ringbearer realized he was on the wrong side of the aisle. For a young man, what other solution is there, really, but to dash across to the correct side? Too funny.

And at the end there were bubbles – have I mentioned that I love bubbles?

As it happens, they do several weddings a year. If you like, Reverend Baxter (aka Kevin) is happy to lead your ceremony. Or you are welcome to bring in your own officiant. Gotta love choices!

So many amazing details here. Note the front windows are clear cut glass with an intricate pattern.

But in the rear there are some very pretty stained glass images.

This chapel can be all lit up with candles for your evening wedding. Super dramatic and romantic!

When Linda and Mike found us for their 2006 wedding, we were so excited. You should see the way he looks at her- melts your heart. We were really looking forward to their fall wedding. They celebrated with their ceremony at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in San Francisco, their wedding portraits at the Legion of Honor and their wedding reception at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton, coordinated by Jubilee Lau of Jubilee Lau Events.

They then sent us a whole series of their friends, all of whom we actually met at their wedding.

First, Elaine and Eddie were married. They had another autumn wedding and chose the perfect venue to highlight the rich greens of fall in San Francisco- the Shakespeare Garden in Golden Gate Park. Before their American ceremony, they participated in the Chinese tea ceremony at both their family homes. After the Shakespeare Garden wedding and taking photos around San Francisco, they celebrated with a fabulous Chinese banquet at House of Banquet.

A couple weeks later, Meredith and Bronson celebrated their wedding. Actually, Meredith’s mother Renn was the connection with Linda and Mike. After meeting us at Linda and Mike’s wedding, she brought Meredith and Bronson in to visit us while they were visiting from Portland. These two have such a great sense of humor; we had an absolute blast working with them and getting to know their families. They were married at StoneTree Golf Club in Novato. Their winter themed wedding was designed and coordinated by Grace Dugan from A Touch of Grace.

This past summer, we were able to photograph Becky and Danny’s wedding. Becky and Danny are friends with Linda and Mike as well as Elaine and Eddie. We actually sat at their table during Elaine and Eddie’s banquet. We felt like we already knew them quite well when they hired us to photograph their wedding at The Chanler at Cliff Walk in Newport, Rhode Island and their bbq celebration in Preston, Connecticut. They are a lovely down-to-earth couple with great taste. We were so excited to celebrate with them.

All of our "generations" are so special to us. We really are so lucky to get to work with such amazing couples. A huge, huge thank you to all of our past brides and grooms who have referred their wonderful friends and family to us.

I had so much fun; I definitely want to do this again. And Dave has been bitten by the bug as well. We hope to put on a show in our Boston studio soon. We will definitely share the details when we figure them out.

I am super excited to announce the gallery show I am taking part in. The theme for our work is love. The show came about from a desire to explore love in new context. All of the photographers in the show are women who primarily shoot weddings. Here’s Becky and Danny in front of her childhood home. Dave had fun playing with this image, hearkening back to the late 1800′s.

Guests enjoyed an all-day affair and withstood the stormy weather with smiles. The entertainment was non-stop: games of badminton, volleyball, soccer, jumping in the pool, and lots of great conversation. They even provided a few props for the other celebration that occurs on July 4.

The tent looked great- decorated with lanterns and lights. They continued the theme of fresh colors of pinks, yellows, and greens.

In the afternoon, Becky and Danny got all dolled up again. Jeanine was there to help with Becky’s prepping.

Just before their introduction, Becky and Danny snuck a kiss.

The rain held off on the wedding day and everyone was thrilled. Alas, they weren’t so lucky for some of the BBQ. Becky and Danny dashed from the house to the tent under this huge umbrella.

And then right into their second first dance. (Their first first dance being at The Chanler.) Have I mentioned how awesome it is that they get to do everything 3 times!

Becky’s dad was so funny during this speech. He brought one of Danny’s friends up to translate for him. Everyone assumed that Danny’s friend would be translating into Chinese for any of Danny’s relatives who might prefer that. Then he started speaking in Chinese. The friend was there to translate into English! Of course there was tons of laughter and appreciative applause. Apparently he did quite a good job, too.

And this pretty much sums up the whole shebang.

Becky and Danny, we are so excited for you to embark on this adventure together. We wish you all the best and have had such a great time getting to know you better. Have a fabulous time at the Banquet this weekend!

Just in case you are wondering, the broom is a family joke, and we are so glad that Becky’s aunt decorated it and brought it along.

You may recall Becky and Danny got married at The Chanler at Cliff Walk in Newport, Rhode Island. This destination wedding had it all: beautiful location in a great town with an intimate group of friends and family.

When last I wrote, I left off just after the ceremony. During the cocktail hour, we took some portraits of Becky and Danny with their guests. These guys were such a hoot. They didn’t need any encouragement; they had tons of funny ideas!

Following the group shots, we took Becky and Danny on a stroll around the property.

We had absolutely no trouble finding amazing places to shoot.

The festivites got started as Becky and Danny were introduced.

Their nephew listened intently (those are his parents behind him) to one of the speeches.

Danny enjoyed a dance with Becky’s mom.

And Becky stole a hug from Danny’s mom.

As the sun was beginning to set, we captured this. This is the view from their suite.

Then back to the party. Becky’s little nephews could really get down. They were breakdancing all over the place; I don’t know where they learned it, but they definitely knew the moves. Of course, that meant that Becky and Danny’s friends had to put on a show as well.

It was a pretty emotional day for everyone. Becky’s mom shared her love with Becky in this tender moment.

We really had such an amazing time shooting Becky and Danny’s wedding. Everyone was great.

A huge thank you to the staff at The Chanler. They were outstanding and definitely made the day perfect for Becky and Danny.
