When I think back to Pamela and Albert’s wedding this summer, I am reminded of the music, and the food. But for this entry I think I will focus on the music. It was a lyrical day from beginning to end. And the music was always accompanied by intense emotion, both spiritual and later humorous.
When last I wrote, the bride and groom were just about to walk down the aisle. Here I begin with some of the music from their ceremony at the Boston Chinese Evangelical Church in Newton.
This little one was humming to her own tune.
And our bride and groom with heartfelt song.
One of their friends lead the group.
A quiet moment of prayer during the service.
After the ceremony, we had a few minutes for portraits and stopped by Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts. The MFA has some really lovely architectural elements.
Then off to Veronique for the reception. Food is a huge part of their lives, so Pamela and Albert treated their guests to a five course meal.
One of the most fun Chinese customs is for the bride to change dresses during the evening. Of course this meant more getting ready photographs for me.
Pamela looked lovely in each and everyone.
Then back in the reception, as the couple toasted their friends, they were serenaded. Here’s their reaction to the group.
And ending with the boys singing their hearts out!

What an absolutely enjoyable day. Congrats again to Pamela and Albert and much gratitude for including us.

With absolutely perfect light and such a stunning couple, not to mention the picturesque scenery of Nahant, we felt unbelievably lucky to be photographing Loula and Massimo’s engagement session. They wanted to celebrate their love of the beach during their e-session and came up with the long stretches of beach, as well as the 40 Steps area in this north shore town. Wow!!!!! Neither Dave or I had been to Nahant, though he had always wanted to go, and really, truly such a stunning place. Better still, Loula and Massimo were completely at ease in what is clearly their natural habitat. So without further ado, meet Loula and Massimo…
Loula was great about getting involved and sharing ideas for their session. One of her brainstorms was to bring along a couple of magazines- Psychology Today for her and Sports Illustrated for him- to set the scene for what they mostly do at the beach- relax. I absolutely love that. And I love this scene- looks like a beach in Italy. Perfect as Massimo is Italian, no?!

I absolutely can not wait for their wedding at the State Room this fall.
Honestly, you have to check out a few more. We just couldn’t put all our favorites on the blog. So definitely take a look at their slideshow too.

Fall in New England is a truly stunning time of year. When Pamela and Albert chose the season for their engagement session, we were happy to accommodate. The next step was choosing the location. We couldn’t imagine a more perfect option than the bridge in Cambridge where they got engaged. We love this bridge and have wanted to shoot there for a while now. Plus the trees and surrounding areas are so pretty- great views of both Boston and Cambridge. We completed our portraits in Beacon Hill, another favorite area of theirs and ours.

This is the actual spot where Albert proposed- literally on the bridge. He woke up Pamela before sunrise to take her to this spot near her apartment. What a way to start the day- a beautiful view and a very happy "Yes!"
More smiles and fun in and among the leaves.
The Charles River makes a gorgeous backdrop for this moment.
This path was so pretty with gorgeous trees on both sides. It felt magical.
In Beacon Hill, we avoided the busiest alley ways and found this stunning wall. It was like a rainbow of leaves.
One of my favorites from the portrait session. It’s amazing how such a busy city (and it was really busy that day) can feel so private.
And I am really excited to share their PicFlick. They sent us the romantic Chinese song as the background music. You can check it out here.
