I truly can’t wait to celebrate with them at the Copley Plaza next fall. Do I really have to wait almost a whole year?

We started off their engagement session on the Cambridge side of the Charles River, for some great views of the city.

As it happened, we came across this enchanting forest. The trees were so cool. Lindsay and Alex look right at home.

Then we headed into the city for a few more urban images in their old ‘hood. Dave’s turn for a kissing moment…

But I got the smiles and laughter.

So sweet how they smile just after a kiss.

We walked over Soldier’s Field Road to get to the Boston side of the River. We had hoped to get a spot on the dock, but there were people enjoying the day on every corner of it. As it turns out, we found an even better spot amidst the trees.

Then under the willow trees. It was a pretty magical place. And I absolutely love the way Lindsay and Alex are enjoying the moment.

We had such an amazing afternoon. Thank you guys! It really was Sweet.

This weekend, we snuck in an engagement session with Jess and Ivan, whose wedding is in just over a week. We wanted to make sure we had this chance to get together in a relaxed setting before the wedding. And also, to share the photos with them and get their feedback before the big day. The weather had been less than cooperative for our initial plans, but this day was perfect. As was the location.

With the Back Bay as our playground, we enjoyed the wealth of possibilities our fair city has to offer. Gotta love Boston!

We actually know Ivan and Jess pretty well already. Ivan and Dave had been roommates in college at UMass Amherst; as soon as we moved back to the Boston area, we got together with them. We instantly adored Jess.

And of course, playdates with Max and their pup Noodle were a must. Both dogs love the tennis ball and neither is agressive about having it. Excellent playmates.

Perhaps my favorite thing about heading out on a photographic double date with Ivan and Jess was pausing to watch them interact with each other. They laugh so much!!!

And my other favorite thing was watching them play with Noodle- who is totally absolutely adorable. Such a happy family.

All around a great morning! Thank you both- we had so much fun.

We really can’t wait for your wedding at the Harvard Club. It is going to be amazing. And we are totally going to take you up on your offer to hang out and dance for a bit after we are finished shooting!

We just held the drawing for each day of the Baystate Bridal Expo. And the winners are….

Lori and Chris who will be getting married this summer at The Villa at Ridder Country Club in East Bridgewater, MA. It looks like a fabulous location with extraordinary architecture. And Andrea and Lee, who will be celebrating their wedding at their family home; weddings at a bride’s or groom’s home always have a very personal feel to them. We look forward to working with both of you to create amazing engagement portraits.

We had a really great time at the bridal show and enjoyed meeting all of the couples who visited our booth. We also had the opportunity to connect with some of our peers in the wedding industry.

And then of course there were some of my favorite things.

And my fave wedding magazine, the New England edition of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style. I was so excited because I had just talked to Eleni, one of their reps, on the phone and it was fabulous to meet her. She is a total sweetheart and a super representative of the magazine.

I will definitely be featuring more fabulous vendors in the days to come so check back and see all the fun.

When Andrea and Eric envisioned their engagement session, they knew they wanted to capture a very "New England-y" feel; they wanted their images to show off their home at its best. They wanted fall foliage, colonial architecture, boats in a harbor. They wanted a picturesque seaside town. The north shore certainly offers plenty of options; Dave and I had recently been to Marblehead and immediately saw the potential there.

Andrea and Eric were up for anything. Andrea was wearing these awesome heals. I thought for sure she would have a tough time walking all over Marblehead in them. But she was amazing. She even scaled the rocks overlooking the water with complete grace. We found a spot for them on a rock with beautiful light. They were immediately at ease. And clearly so into each other.

They also had an opportunity to take in the views, which were gorgeous. We had perfect weather, clear skies for miles.

I so love this picture. Their heads, arms and hands form a heart shape and they fit so perfectly together.

We were up at the Fort Sewall park with its cool walls and buildings. The stone covered in foliage reminds me of a college campus admissions brochure. But my favorite part about this image is the way it is divided into 3 sections, with Andrea and Eric right in the middle gazing at each other.

The water was super still that evening…

which made for some beautiful reflections.

While Andrea went to change clothes, we did a little scouting away from the water and found this really interesting spot. There were lobster traps all around and an old fishing boat.

We ventured from there a little further into town. We were looking for more beautiful trees (we were on the early side of fall at the time). Still we found some lovely color.

Have leaves, will play! And with gusto, too.

The night grew cooler as the sun set and the moon rose. Andrea and Eric cuddled together under the purple October sky.

This enagement session with Andrea and Eric was so much fun; we can’t wait to celebrate with them at the Harding Allen Estate in Barre, MA.
