Dara got ready in the bridal suite at the Log Cabin in western Mass. She was surrounded by her dearest friends and closest family members. Two of her bridesmaids helped her tie the corsette laces of her wedding dress.

Meanwhile the boys were all set so they took some time to enjoy the stunning mountain views.

Just before Dara walked down the aisle, the flower girl and ringbearer prepared to lead the way.

Keith was terrified that he was going to cry during the ceremony. Apparently he is known for this, having cried during his brother’s wedding. He was trying desparately to keep it together in preparation for Dara to walk down the aisle.

Check out this amazing, stunning, spectacular, gorgeous, out of this world mountain view. And the temperature was perfect. An idyllic scene, no?

The gentle breeze caught Dara’s veil and the light made it glow during their vows. So pretty.

I absolutely love this image of Dara’s mom and dad during the ceremony. You can feel the love they have for each other and for Dara and Keith just by looking at their faces and body language.

Just as Dara and Keith started their departure after their kiss and being pronounced man and wife, their ringbearer realized he was on the wrong side of the aisle. For a young man, what other solution is there, really, but to dash across to the correct side? Too funny.

And at the end there were bubbles – have I mentioned that I love bubbles?

I just had to start with Wheatleigh in Lenox, MA. Dave and I met up with Sebastian Serre after hearing about Wheatleigh from Lisa Hoffman at Ceci New York.

This French chateau is a jewel in the Berkshires crown. Really spectacular. Not only has this amazing hotel won all kinds of awards (AAA Five Diamond Rating, Robb Report Luxury Resorts List of 100 Best Places to Stay, Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report Hotel of the Year Grand Award Winner), it has perhaps the most romantic storied beginning. At the turn of the century, the Florentine palazzo was built as a wedding gift by H.H. Cook for his daughter, who was soon to be a countess. In my opinion, this alone would make it the perfect place to get married.

Everything about the venue is world-class and exudes luxury. And when you host your wedding at Wheatleigh, you can choose to have exclusive use of the site for the weekend.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the views are exquisite- overlooking a lake and the stunning Berkshire mountains. And the staff, all European, are perfect. Stepping through the glass doors, you immediately feel like you are in the old world, but Wheatleigh is just a short ride from New York or Boston.

We didn’t just get cozy with our cameras though. It was also the ideal location to take a look at where we are and where we want to be, in life and in work. We jotted down 101 goals to be accomplished in the next 1001 days.

As it turns out, I wanted to be in the water. Goal #84 -go swimming in Amanda’s lake- was tackled that weekend. I made sure Dave captured a few shots. Dave borrowed the cowboy hat and created some in-camera texture and vignetting to achieve this image.

And then he got creative. When we were in Australia taking a day tour, our guide told us of a hair care advertisement in which the model flung her hair while standing in a beautiful lagoon. So I became a model and proceeded to joyfully fling my hair. It was actually pretty fun. Here’s one of Dave’s images. I am looking forward to seeing those of the other photographers who captured the moment.

I wasn’t the only model. Dave grabbed a few of some of our friends.
