Towards the end of the summer, we were able to do a fabulous fashion shoot at the Lord Thompson Manor. We shared a sneak peak of the photo fun a few weeks back. Now that the wedding season is coming to a close, we wanted to revisit and give you a full taste of what we did with this bridal shoot. We had such a good time working with our model Samantha, Christine and Shirley from Bridal Heirlooms, and enjoying the beautiful grounds of Jackie’s Lord Thompson Manor. I can’t say enough how much we appreciate the generosity of all these ladies. Thank you!!!!
No slideshow this week; all the photographs are right here on the blog. Enjoy!

I am sorry. I have to apologize. Sometimes we just can’t help ourselves and this is one of those times.
Cara and Nate’s wedding was simply so amazing. This is one super glamorous couple. They held their wedding at two beautiful sites (The Sonoma Mission Inn and Sonoma Golf Club). They worked with Emarie of A Savvy Event on their wedding design. Everything and everyone around them was gorgeous. Best of all, they are truly warm and loving and so very much in love.
You are about to be bombarded with images. Again, I apologize. Now, sit back and enjoy!

Our most recent wine country wedding was stunning in every way- truly picture perfect.
We had been looking forward to Cara and Nate’s wedding for a while. Cara came to us as a referral from Emily and Mark. We always love referrals because it feels like we are working with people we already know really well, almost like family. And then we shot Cara and Nate’s engagement session which was so much fun. Not only were they gorgeous, they were super hardy, braving San Francisco’s worst weather. And they just seemed so right together, amazing chemistry. On top of all that, we were really excited to work at the Sonoma Mission Inn and the Sonoma Golf Club- two of the valley’s most amazing sites.

Party time! I am thrilled to share the reception portion of Jesse and Ariana’s wedding day. As you may recall, they held their ketubah and bedeken ceremonies in the Berkeley Botanic Garden and then celebrated their huppah ceremony on the Brazilian Room patio, all in Tilden Park. The reception continued immediately following the ceremony. Because we took the formal portraits down in the Botanic Gardens, Ariana and Jesse were able to kick-back and enjoy the cocktail hour.

Ariana and Jesse are two of the kindest, warmest, most affectionate, down-to-earth people we have met. And they were an absolute joy to celebrate with.

When last I wrote about Allison and Adam’s wedding, I promised to share a little bit more about their connection to Alaska. They spent a year together in an Alaskan cabin; that time seems to have had an amazing impact on them. They feel very connected to the woods. I wanted start this off with a nightshot in the forest. I think it speaks to their connection to each other and to the beauty of nature.

We had such a blast hanging with Deana and Nick for their engagement session, we couldn’t wait for the wedding. And the wedding was even more awesome and fun than I had expected. Their friends and family were outstanding- welcoming and relaxed. Their site was one of our favorites, Hans Fahden in the California wine country. The skies were deep, deep blue. And I got to learn so much more about Deana and Nick. Deana’s dad’s speech rocked- both witty and sentimental. I could see through his eyes how these two amazing, intelligent, fun, wonderful people were absolutely destined to be together.

When we spoke with the amazing ladies from Bridal Heirlooms about doing a fashion shoot, we immediately knew where we wanted to do the shoot. And as we thought more about it we knew what story we wanted the images to tell. Each idea came more and more into focus.
Bridal Heirlooms has a wonderful selection of dresses and Christine and Shirley know just how to match a gown to a person’s style. We wanted to create a collection of images that hearkened back to times gone by, but with a modern touch. And we wanted to show off their fabulous gowns.
The Lord Thompson Manor is a stunning wedding site nestled in the woodlands of Northeastern Connecticut. It is just a short drive from Boston, Rhode Island, Hartford, and even, New York. A perfect getaway close to home, this estate was once a hunting villa. The feel of the site is still warm and welcoming and intensely glamorous - a wonderful place for wedding photography.
Here’s a sneak preview of the Lord Thompson Manor bridal fashion shoot.

When we first met with Allison and Adam, we could see how much they loved each other in all the little things they did and said. Allison’s eyes sparkled when she spoke about Adam. And Adam was so sincere in his praise of his wife-to-be. They were absolutely enchanting. Of course, we were thrilled to be a part of the celebration which made their love official.

Allison and Adam selected Hans Fahden Vineyards in Calistoga for their venue. And we were treated to an absolutely gorgeous day- warm with lovely breezes from the coast and blue skies for miles.

When last I wrote, Krista and Andy were enjoying a fabulous portrait session at Hakone Gardens. The time quickly approached for the ceremony and we left Hakone to make our way to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Saratoga.

A couple weeks ago we had the pleasure of photographing Krista and Andy’s wedding. Krista wanted a beautiful spot for the first time they saw each other. She selected Hakone Gardens, a gorgeous Japanese garden in Saratoga. They started the day surrounded by their closest friends, the impeccably manicured grounds and the stunning koi.

It is with great pleasure that I share the second portion of Shosh and Jon’s day. We just couldn’t help ourselves; there are tons of images. Shosh and Jon included so many elements of fun and honored their Jewish culture in so many different ways. And they have such a cool urban aesthetic as seen in the fabulous architecture of their venues. What’s a photographer to do? So sit back and enjoy!

We are really excited to share a few of Shosh and Jon’s wedding images. They had an amazing wedding. It was filled with love, friendship, tradition, warmth and fun. We had a blast getting to know their family and friends. I loved all of the Jewish elements; I felt right at home.
Shosh and Jon are so clearly completely and totally in love. Jon was adorable; he really couldn’t keep his eyes off Shosh. And Shosh exudes a warmth and caring for everyone. On her wedding day she had an extra aura of joy around her and she couldn’t stop smiling. They were such a pleasure to photograph.

Today, I get to share part three (our last installment) of Becky and Danny’s amazing wedding. You may recall parts 1 and 2 took place at the beatiful Chanler at Cliff Walk in Newport, RI. They had an intimate ceremony and reception there. Still they wanted to be able to celebrate with even more family and friends so on July 4th they hosted a tented BBQ in Preston, Connecticut.
Here’s Becky and Danny in front of her childhood home. Dave had fun playing with this image, hearkening back to the late 1800’s.

We wanted to share a quick taste of what’s to come for Jon and Shosh. They had an absolutely amazing wedding. Their ceremony was at the Fourth Street Summit Center (run by the Fairmont) and the reception was at the new San Jose City Hall. We had so much fun with this crew and we can’t wait to share all the details.
In the meantime, here’s a sneak peak. This was during the end of the Horah. They stole this kiss while all their guests danced around them.

You can also check out their engagement photos on our blog here and the slideshow here.

Going through Becky and Danny’s photos has been such a treat. And we are thrilled to share a few more images from their wedding day.

Just in case you are wondering, the broom is a family joke, and we are so glad that Becky’s aunt decorated it and brought it along.

We had such an amazing time last week shooting Becky and Danny’s multiple celebrations. Let me start by saying that these two are brilliant. They figured out a way for Becky to wear her dress (which she looks amazing in) not once, not twice, but three times and get to party all three times. And we were lucky enough to be there for the first two of them. And in honor of their brilliance and the number 3, we’ve decided to break it up with 3 blog entries.
Becky and Danny flew in from California for a destination wedding in Newport, RI- a truly stunning town. And they picked a perfect venue, The Chanler at Cliff Walk, one of the historic Newport Mansions, for their ceremony and first reception.

Based on all the comments here on our blog, I know how excited and anxious Angela and Michael’s friends and family are to see all their wedding photos. I’ve had a really tough time narrowing them for this entry but here they are.
I have so many favorites from the day…but I really like the movement and feeling of this one. Angela and her dad are really good dancers and they put on quite the show and I think this image captures that.
