Once the reception got started, Mollie and Matt’s stamp could be seen from every vantage point. The way they incorporate their Great Gatsby-esque theme was to infuse the day with gilded style.

The perfect pair welcomed their guests with a delicous bite of fruit.

At each setting a menu with their brand.

The reception flowers had a more vibrant hue- deep pink, purple and green.

Guests were seated in multiple spaces throughout the mansion.

One couldn’t forget that fall was in the air when stepping outside on the Grand Allee.

Did I mention the food? Tables of Content did an outstanding job with presentation and taste. A few morsels from the cocktail hour.

The Crane Estate itself offers inspiration and beauty at every turn. The grand staircase.

Dinner is served.

Even in darkness the house is a beauty.

And time for dessert.

For their favors, Mollie and Matt gave a donation to 3 charities and in honor of those, offered their guests a sweet treat in 3 different colors.

Can’t forget the band. This party was a ton of fun. Mollie even mentioned that the funniest moment was, "The Maid of Honor having a dance off with the band’s lead singer." What a great crew!

The best of the rest from Mollie and Matt’s wedding: engagement session, sneak preview, and the scoop.

Our story starts at Mistral Restaurant, the location for our shoot. Their very chic private events space and wine room was the backdrop for the table.

Teresa had already prepped some of the floral before she arrived. In particular, the very time intensive work of attaching orchids to willow branches.

Some pieces had to be assembled on site. I was fascinated by these clear gelatinous balls that are nearly clear when you add water.

They allowed plants, such as these succulents, to appear as if they were floating in a glass vase.

So creative, this design used glass candelabras as containers for floral.

Teresa is very hands-on. She would look at the design from every angle and make adjustments to the flowers or the linens or the glassware, seeking perfection.

Even the tiniest details were thought of. These miniature flowers were strung around tall vases.

Pinks of all shades.

Love the burgundy calla lily on the square plate. (Idea for Valentine’s Day?)

Gorgeous. Gorgeous flowers.

Even the linens had a floral feel. And Teresa had two options so that she could see how the whole look came together- one lavender and one this deeper fuchsia color.

Another look as the pieces are coming together.

Sometimes it just takes four hands to get the flowers to cooperate.

And finally, everything is complete. Simply magical. Love the arch and how it frames the candles and softens the wall in the background.

The vision. I couldn’t get over how beautiful this was. I know I would feel immensely special eating a meal at such a beautiful table.

And ultimately published in Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine. Congrats to Teresa and the whole Mimosa team. Such an absolutely beautiful work of art!

Part 2- Flowers and Food

First the flowers, pinks perfect for a summer wedding.

Loving the lushness of our bride’s bouquet. And check out our groom’s boutonniere.

The walk down the aisle was just perfect with these flower baskets hanging from the seats.

They brought the pails from the ceremony to place on the cocktail hour tables.

The dinner setting was just perfect. Some tables had tall centerpieces, some with petite centerpieces, all set off by the crystal chandeliers.

Along the fireplace, the bride’s and bridesmaids’ bouquets were placed in glass vases tied with pink ribbons.

And now for a few sweet, yummy morsels. Maren’s caterer- Blue Rocks Catering- was fantastic. The food both looked and tasted (what we were able to enjoy) amazing!

Oh and her beautiful cake. A perfect combination of the food and the flowers!

And one last favorite, which I think shows how perfectly her floral choices fit with the grounds of the Glen Manor House…

Part 1- The Special Touches

First off, pinks were the order of the day- from mauve to pastel- subtle shades and hues of luscious pink. More on the flowers in a later post (also pretty in pink).

Maren’s shoes with a hint of turquoise. This was a beautiful accent color to the pinks, and only used in two spots. Her something blue.

Her purse also with turquoise. She added the little hummingbird pin, a nice touch of whimsy.

Now check out their venue. The Glen Manor House is nothing short of stunning.

Loving the period details throughout, reminiscent of a French country estate.
