Happy 200th Blog Post! In honor of this momentous occasion, we want to spread the word and send out lots of positive energy to the world.
Here’s how it works… For every new visitor who comes to our blog and leaves a comment – anywhere on our blog- preferably in the deep bowels of our blog- I promise I will find them…. For every person who adds a comment in the next 7 days (you have until Oct. 2 at 11:59 pm EST)- that’s 168 hours, or 10,080 minutes, or 604,800 seconds- we are going to donate a can to our local food bank.
So easy, you put a little note on our blog and we all make a difference in the world.
So go on, do it, do it now, help hungry people! Then spread the word, tell friends and family and they, too, can make a difference. It’s so, so easy.

Fabulous news! We had four full-page photos published in Gala Weddings Magazine. We received the proof and the magazine, and it looks great!
The magazine focuses on the New England region and the brides and grooms who get married in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Connecticut. Most of our images are from Becky and Danny’s wedding last summer. They were married at the Chanler at Cliff Walk in Newport.
Here’s Danny looking over his vows before he walks down the aisle…
And here’s Becky with her Dad walking towards the ceremony on the lawn.
The used this one from their portrait session as the lead image for their RI section.
And this one is from Ariana and Jesse’s wedding, used for their lead photo in the VT section.
Then they sprinkled a few more smaller images throughout. The bouquets and table arrangements in this spread are both ours from Becky and Danny’s Newport wedding.
And the mooncake is ours in this inspiration spread of citrus colors; it’s from Krista and Andy’s wedding.
If you want to see more from Becky and Danny’s RI wedding, check out their sneak peak, the scoop, their CT bbq, the details, and the slideshow.
If you want to see more from Ariana and Jesse’s Tilden Park wedding, check out their sneak peak, scoop, and slideshow.
If you want to see more from Krista and Andy’s Hakone Gardens and Decathlon Club wedding, check out their scoop part 1, scoop part 2, details, and slideshow.

Our studio opening celebrations were so much fun. We had a great mix of friends, clients and peers celebrate with us in our new space over the course of a couple of weeks. We were thrilled to have everyone over and just as excited to have completed hanging photographs in the main gallery.

For one of the parties, Abby Brennan of Peaches by Plums provided these amazing flowers.
I could not believe how beautiful they were and the aroma that filled the space was so sweet and inviting. I met Abby while visiting the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, where she works in the catering department. But floral and event design is her dream and passion. It certainly shows.
In order to make the event even more special, we decided to include a showing of our favorite images from the getting ready portion of the wedding day. The show was called "Anticipation." We plan on keeping it up for through the season. All of the photographes were black and white photojournalistic images; we used museum standard matting and simple black frames.
Through the rest of the gallery, we have hung our permanent collection. Some of our favorite photographs from weddings and portrait sessions. Below you see several canvas prints as well as a self-portrait metallic print.
I always love hosting a party because I really enjoy watching the people from different parts of my life intermingle.
Max missed out on all the partying, but he still gets to enjoy the space on a regular basis.
Our new space is between Watertown Square and Newton Corner, about 15 minutes from downtown Boston. Not only do we love the great space, but the location is absolutely perfect for us. We have found it relatively easy to get to Boston as well as points West, North and South. Hooray for convenience!
If you weren’t able to make it and would like to stop by, let us know. We would be happy to show you around.

In honor of the beginning of wedding season and because we are just crazy like that, we decided to give our blog a brand spankin’ new look. Make sure to check out all the ins and outs of this beta version.

The goal was to make the photos front and center and give you lots of ways to find what you are looking for. The first section allows you to catch a glimpse of our most recent posts. You can slide from the first to the second and so on. It is sort of like the front page of a newspaper. And since you can only see one post’s photo, headline and excerpt at a time in that section, the “Recent Work” section shows you the eight most recent lead photos, along with the most recent story on the right, and headlines from 5 prior posts. If you continue down even further, you will see our categories section. This highlights recent articles in our most viewed categories. At the bottom of the page, you can find a tag cloud amongst other ways to search for what you are looking for.
We hope you enjoy all the new features. Let us know if you have suggestions and ideas that would make the blog even easier to access. We would love to hear how we can make it even better. And most importantly, enjoy!

We have great news! The March/April issue of You and Your Wedding Magazine, a UK wedding magazine, just came out. And one of our fabulous couples was featured. The bride and groom are Meredith and Bronson. They celebrated their wedding last winter at StoneTree Golf Club in Novato. Meredith chose shades of white to highlight the season along with beautiful candles and holiday lights throughout the reception area. Meredith’s inspired look came together with the help of Grace Dougan of A Touch of Grace. Check out the magazine at a New England Borders (I didn’t see the magazine in the SF Borders I visited) or read more from our blog posts here: sneak preview and the scoop.
Awesome style, Meredith and Bronson!

Thank You!
We feel truly fortunate to be able to do what we love and we know we are exceptionally lucky to be able to work with the amazing people we get to work with. So on this day of thanksgiving, we would like to extend a huge Thank You! to all of our clients, our friends, our family, our peers. You have made our lives rich beyond compare.

A few weeks ago, we asked you to help us give back to our community. By making comments on our blog in celebration of our 200th blog post, you have supported us. In turn, we are donating cans for each comment made during that time. We now have 49 cans (21 pictured- the rest are still in the big box) to give to our Food Bank. These will help people who have had a rough time of it, neighbors who are in need. Thank you so much for helping us help them.
Here’s to a healthy and happy holiday season!
Much love,
Jo & Dave
