Cara and Nate were such a joy to photograph. They had some ideas of what they wanted but were happy to do whatever we suggested as well. We love this kind of collaboration. It always results in fabulous images and a really fun time.

We started our session at Fort Point, one of our new favorite places to shoot in the Bay Area. This old fort has tons of history and tons of little nooks to snuggle up in. The only down part is it is almost always windy and cool, even on a sunny day. Fortunately Cara and Nate were dressed warmly and happy to get close to stay warmer. 🙂

And then of course there was also lots of smooching….

They even tackled the coldest spot of all- the roof. It was worth it though for this amazing image with the Golden Gate Bridge.

Cara also wanted to get some beach shots. We chose to visit China Beach. This little beach is almost always secluded. And we were thrilled to have it all to ourselves! China Beach has great rocks, a cool old beach house, a view of the Golden Gate Bridge, and tons of seagulls.

Cara and Nate will be getting married at the Fairmont’s Sonoma Mission Inn; she has lots of great plans to highlight the wine country theme. And as you can tell they are so amazing together. We can’t wait to celebrate with them.

A huge thank you to Cara and Nate. What a great way to spend a morning!
